Produced by Bernard Taresco, the UNESCO Honor Day was held on 27th September 1998
in Lisbon, Portugal. Themed "A Salute to a Culture of Peace", the celebrations
included the UNESCO Honour Day flag-raising ceremony, the official visit of
UNESCO Director-General Federico Mayor to the Expo, the Parade of Cultures
through the streets of Expo, an all day concert at the Ceremonial Plaza and
integration of the special audio-visual show 'Face of the Nations' into AcquaMatrix,
the nightly spectacular multi-media extravaganza.
